Blended fabrics

Besides classical fabrics made from one material, there are blended fabrics. Blended fabrics are made by woven fibers of a different origin into the wool during weaving. These may be flax, cotton, velvet or mohair. Blended fabrics acquires additional physical, mechanical and operational properties because of this «weaving».

For example, properties of silk are added to properties of wool, that affects on durability and facade. Fabric becomes more delicate, softer, warmer if cashmere threads are woven into the wool. Producing of blended fabric is art which need accuracy, science and creativity. it is necessary to select the raw materials correctly, to select the percentage ratio of the threads and to weave them without a single mistake.

Blended fabrics are very comfortable from a practical point of view. For example, if you want the costume to shine with famous silk noble and deep shine but you are not ready to sew costume from pure silk, a fabric half made of silk and half made of wool is a good solution your task. This fabric will shine, but it will not be easily creasing. And care of this fabric will not require the delicacy that suits made of pure silk are famous for.

Blended fabrics are great for summer business costumes.  Because of the woolen base fabric doesn’t wrinkle and keeps optimal temperature of body. Thank to additional of flax, it perfectly ventilates and removes moisture. Flax or cotton, and sometimes silk and linen, or silk and cotton can be added to the composition of summer blended fabrics.

In addition, blended fabrics are common in the coat segment. Vicuna or alpaca wool in connection with high cost and uniqueness often are blended with quality wool or cashmere. Blended fabric coat has all the properties of wool with unique properties of alpaca or vicuna wool.

Blended fabrics are manufactured by Italian and England factories. They differ by percentages of adding this or that fiber.
