The name of kapok comes from the tree, where grow up «cotton» fruits. These trees reach the length from thirty to fifty meters. They grow in Mexico and South America. Fiber that got from processing of cotton-plant differs from classic cotton. Kapok has higher durability and also is more flexible, so that it is called «Silk cotton».

Fibers obtained after processing cotton plant are different from the classic cotton. It is  stronger and more flexible, that’s why kapok is called «silk cotton». The fabric is less wrinkled, has higher hygroscopic characteristics, and also has a noble appearance and deep color.
